A new chapter is taking shape at 51 Anson Road, formerly the site of the ‘grand old lady’ Anson Centre—a 14-storey office building that opened in 1972 and served the Tanjong Pagar CBD for nearly four decades. The building closed its doors on 1 July 2011, clearing the way for a complete redevelopment that would take advantage of the ‘Southern District’ development incentives.

Today, Hong Leong Holdings is transforming the plot into a striking 25-storey mixed-use development. While the official name is yet to be announced, the project is already turning heads for its prominent corner location —opposite Springleaf Tower, Mapletree Anson, Twenty Anson and adjoining 79 Anson Road, the site is a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
